Curated by Neville Wakefield and Kaitlin Garcia-Maestas, Desert X 2025 aims to offer a fresh perspective on the Coachella Valley, transforming its vast landscape into a living canvas of cultural and environmental dialogue. Garcia-Maestas notes that the exhibition “reveals the landscape of the Coachella Valley as a canvas of real and imagined histories, narrating tales of displacement, sovereignty, and adaptation superimposed over visible testaments of time.”
